High-impact, joyful offsites for remote teams…

…because work is too serious to be boring.

Our retreats help teams connect to each other, and their mission, through delight, connection and laughter.

Our approach is evidence-based with two peer-reviewed papers by researchers at Oxford & Cambridge University.

Our events have rocked…

Offsites make remote work work.

Here’s why you should get in touch with us…

1. Long distance never improves relationships.

Remote work is good for lots of thing. Emotional connection isn’t one of them.

Our experience as community builders (as well as comedians, coaches and consultants) give us the tools you need.

We create the connection that will fuel your future online collaboration.

2. You need FUN and a rigorous methodology.

Peer reviewed studies from Oxford and Cambridge University show that Lifefulness (our methodology) increases wellbeing, social connection, social bonding and positive affect.

What's ‘Positive affect’? It's the psychological term for enthusiasm, cheerfulness, joy, energy and positivity.

3. Expert facilitation beats exotic locations.

You’ve cried with joy in kitchens, had incredible dates in dive bars. You know meaningful experiences don’t need luxury villas.

We put relationships, excitement and joy first, the rest takes care of itself (though we also work great in exotic locations).

4. We have a secret weapon.

Our founder, Sanderson Jones, has founded a secular church, created 5 star comedy shows, designed funerals, officiated weddings, consulted companies, and coached leaders.

He can hold space for the serious, silly, playful and meaningful through song, laughter, meditation and more.

“Sanderson Jones is one in a million...

….he has been the MC – and heartbeat – of our annual Summercamp festival for last 7 years. His energy and sense of humour are infectious and he has a unique ability to hold the attention of a large crowd, but make it feel intimate.

If you get the opportunity to have him host or speak at your event or company, grab it with both hands."

Message from our founder…

15 years ago, I was standing in a Christmas Carol Service and thought there’s so much about this that I love - singing, community, joy, connection - I’m just not religious at all.

The question came to mind:

Could you create something like church that celebrates the one incredible thing we all have in common: life itself?

The First Lifefulness Communities

In 2013 with my friend and co-founder Pippa Evans (another comedian) we founded Sunday Assembly - a movement of non-religious congregations that celebrate life.

We found a way to adapt the techniques of the spiritual community and congregation so that everyone could get involved.

The communities were celebrating life, so Lifefulness seemed like the perfect word for the practice we developed.

Lifefulness at Work

Soon we were invited into companies to teach them about our practices, to deliver trainings and design offsites.

Clients wanted to have the sense of belonging and togetherness we created in communities - and we were delighted to help.

But what was urgent before COVID is essential now, with a particular need in remote teams who are not connecting in-person.

Support Our Mission.

Joyful gatherings for businesses are building blocks for our big mission: tackling the crisis in meaning and belonging.

What’s more, facilitating and hosting offsites funds our work with communities - so thanks for taking part!

Look forward to hearing from you.

Sanderson
